Author Ryan Reese is back with his new novel titled, Full Gut.

Full Gut is a horror and suspense novel about a crew of restoration technicians who embark on a journey to a mysterious island with the intent to restore an abandoned animal research facility. It is Reese’s second novel, and first to enter the horror genre.

The project started when Ryan was working for a restoration company and was assigned to take pictures of a job taking place on Hontoon Island State Park in DeLand, Florida. A large storm had flooded the island, affecting every structure on it and the company he worked for was enlisted to clean it.
“Even though it was daylight, the island was deserted, and all you could hear was hammers and drills destroying everything. It was eerie. I walked the trails, roads, and drove a UTV around the entire premises. Since the job was a full gut – where the crew was reducing the buildings back to it’s wooden frames – it just hit me that there was a fun, scary story here somewhere.”
